This position is intended to help the charter community provide a web of support to boost college completion rates of charter school alumni. There are three primary aspects to this work: professional development for charter schools, the development of a college-based alumni support program, and advocacy and outreach to the higher education community.
The Special Education Aide will work closely with a student who has an Individualized Education Plan and needs additional support to meet his or her learning goals within the classroom, one-on-one, and in small group pull-out sessions, with an emphasis on teaching life skills.
