Full Description:

Match Public Charter School (www.matcheducation.org) is a high-performing, innovative charter public school in Boston, serving students from PreK to 12th grade on multiple campuses across the city. The school is widely recognized for its ability to prepare students academically for college success.

The Match Community Day (MCD) is our lower school campus located in Jamaica Plain. Our mission is to prepare greater Boston's growing English Language Learner (ELL) population for success in college and beyond. (For a video introduction, click here.)

MCD opened its doors in 2011 and currently enrolls 300 students in pre-kindergarten through 4th grade. Over 85% of our students speak a language other than English at home, including Cape Verdean Creole, Spanish, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, Chinese, Arabic, Somali and Vietnamese.

OPPORTUNITY

Match Community Day is looking for an inclusion aide to join our special education team beginning immediately. Inclusion Aides at MCD work closely with one to two scholars who have Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). They support and enforce individualized behavior plans and provide small group instruction for our scholars with extra needs. Moreover, they work hand-in-hand with homeroom teachers and families to meet the needs of their scholars. This is a job that requires flexibility, collaboration, and patience, but provides an excellent, rewarding opportunity to build a strong bond with a student that needs your support.
