Middle School ELA Teacher (anticipated opening for 2015-16)
This position entails managing and supporting students in Academic Enrichment classes. These classes serve as an important support for the rigor of the school and allow students to complete work for and get targeted help in their other core courses. In addition, the person may serve as an advisor to a set of students and will be required to fulfill other regular duties and commitments required of CCSC faculty and staff.
This position entails the teaching of mathematics in preparation for success in college and the requisite standardized exams, including the PARCC assessments, SAT, SAT Mathematics Subject Test, and the ACT. The precise assignment for this position has yet to be determined and will depend on the qualifications of the person to be hired as well as the staffing needs of the school. In addition, the person will be an advisor and fulfill all regular duties and commitments required.
Members of the department teach humanities (English language arts and social studies) to students in grades 6-10. Members of the dept teaching students in grades 11 and 12 either teach English language arts or history. The precise assignment for this position has yet to be determined and will depend on the qualifications and background of the person to be hired. In addition, the person will be an advisor and fulfill all regular duties and commitments required of all CCSC faculty and staff.
CCSC is seeking a Help Desk Technician in a full-time role. The ideal candidate must have strong problem solving skills, a demonstrated passion for technology, and an interest in working with children in grades 6-12. The successful candidate will embrace such an environment, endeavoring to support high-quality teaching and learning in all of its forms. This is a 12-month position with an expected start date of June 1, 2015.
