Seeking talented educators to serve as assistant teachers in K1-3. Successful candidates possess experience working in early childhood classrooms, experience working with special needs students and English Language Learners, classroom management expertise, and a love for collaborative curriculum development.
This posting is for a High School English as a Second Language teaching position (.25).
Inclusion aides sought for the Middle School level. Candidates must be reliable, flexible, and enjoy working in a collaborative setting. Positions will include working with students in the inclusion classroom setting as well as in some small groups and possibly 1:1. Preferred candidates would have experience serving students with learning disabilities, social/emotional disabilities and/or providing small group instruction.
The Director of Literacy reports directly to the Chief Academic Officer. The Literacy Director would be responsible for the following as part of Phoenix’s 5 Year Vision and Plan for developing the academic program.
Special Education Teacher Basic Curriculum and Instructional Duties:
- Teach four core-block classes, Monday through Friday
- Teach 1 Advisory on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings from 9-9:15 AM
- Tutor struggling students when necessary
- Participate in 3 hours weekly of professional development on Fridays from 1:30– 4:30 PM
