The Assistant Principal facilitates a culture of constant learning for students and staff. In partnership with the Principal, the Assistant Principal provides meaningful and relevant instructional coaching and professional development, serves as a model teacher, and further develops systems and protocols to ensure academic achievement.
Instructional coaching is central to KIPP:MA’s teacher development. Each KIPP:MA teacher has an instructional coach who observes him or her weekly or bi-weekly and meets to offer feedback, practice action steps, and assist in curriculum planning. Instructional Coaches are a key lever in ensuring all KIPP teachers are growing and achieving.
We are looking for smart, problem-solving, self-reflective, and passionate ENGLISH, FRENCH, HISTORY, MATH, SCIENCE, SPANISH, SPECIAL EDUCATION, ART, and P.E. TEACHERS who want to be part of a dynamic team to help continue to BUILD a school and to SHAPE its future direction.
We have several new faculty positions to fill for 2015-16 – some focused on the core teacher residency work, and some focused on our new teacher induction initiative. In both cases, faculty responsibilities will include the direct coaching of teachers, supervision of part-time coaches, managing relationships with partner schools, and designing and delivering PD for novice teachers.
This position entails the teaching of special education in preparation for success in college and the requisite standardized exams, including subject area MCAS and PARCC assessments. The precise assignment for this position has yet to be determined. In addition, the person will be an advisor and fulfill all regular duties and commitments required of all CCSC faculty and staff.
