For the past 14 years the MCPSA has been the voice of the Massachusetts Charter School movement. Through public policy advocacy, sharing of best practices and providing resources and services to schools, the MCPSA has played an essential role in building one of the highest quality charter school initiatives in the country. Representing over 98% of the state’s charter schools, the MCPSA offers numerous resources for charter schools and their staff, including the Communities of Practice, the Charter Knowledge Center, the Instructional Leadership Improvement Network, and a new series of trainings open to all Commonwealth and Horace Mann charter schools, Building Capacity to Serve All Students - Including Students with High Needs. In addition, MCPSA serves as a repository of information regarding charter schools in Massachusetts, including recent studies of student achievement and growth.
